Brochure Design

Objective this week

(Tuesday class only b/c of Labor Day)

Finish creating three graphics/images and 1 logo design for your brochure using art materials (these will be scanned into computers next week when we visit computer lab).  Clean, bold designs that successfully and quickly reflect the brochure’s theme work best.  If finished with all designs, organize club information (text) into a readable and informational format using sketch paper.

***Monday class: Your homework is to have completed your 3 drawings + 1 logo design for your brochure.  This must be brought back to our next class, which will be Monday 9/8/08 (No class on Mon. 9/1 for Labor Day).  Please draw bold, neat designs that accurately reflect your brochure’s theme.  No pencil lines should be visible, so please fill with color using colored pencils and use thin marker for any lines.

Reflect on a time in your life that made you say “WOW” or perhaps something in general that makes you and others say “WOW.”  Design a sketch that communicates this idea including realistic rendering and the word “Wow” somewhere in your design.  Create a finished drawing on white paper of your poster design.  (Consider choice of medium and how that will affect your theme).

Special Materials

May use any of the following materials on paper such as pencil, colored pencils or watercolor pencil.  You may submit photography also.
