Objective this week

Complete all techniques in watercolor pencil onto seashell painting.  / Discover the art of drawing in perspective as it was invented in the Renaissance.  Practice drawing boxes, letters and shapes using the 3D drawing technique.  You may create your own perspective drawing of your choice.

Objective this week

Pull at least 3 prints of your linoleum block with logo design.  Create presentation for your prints.  /

Those finished with printing may discover the art of drawing in 2 point linear perspective.  Draw either a phrase or a scene using this technique.  If drawing letters, try combining this technique with a typestyle of your choice.

Critique Poetic Abstraction projects and discuss. We will review for our end-of-9-weeks test on Tuesday and take the test on Wednesday.  Paint your clay tile for the mural project.  If time permits, arrange tiles onto plywood and affix using ceramic adhesive.

Classes finished painting their tiles will get back to the self-portrait drawing project.  We will analyze the mathematical proportions of the face and will sketch those onto the sketch paper with your practice drawings of facial features.  Once approved, you may begin drawing your own self-portrait using mirrors, final drawing paper and ebony.
